Introducing Anchorage Chiropractor Dr. John Pairmore
When people ask me why I became a chiropractor I tell them, "Gonstead Chiropractic saved my life"!
I had injured my lower back at work and my days and nights were filled with non-stop pain. I was unable to work and the pain seemed to become even worse. I was scared about my future and worried that I might become disabled from back pain like my uncle was. I was under chiropractic care but I wasn't getting any better after months of care. I was then introduced to a Gonstead Chiropractor. He performed a thorough examination of my spine using instrumentation, palpation and x-ray analysis. The adjustments were painless and it wasn't long before I started to notice a big change in my lower back and soon I was back to work. To me, it was a miracle. I had my life back! I immediately knew that my purpose in life was to become a Gonstead Chiropractor and help people regain their health and lives like I had.
After finishing the required pre-chiropractic education at the University of Alaska Anchorage, my chiropractor recommended that I attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Palmer College is the founding college of chiropractic and is considered to be the best of the best. While at Palmer College, I had the privilege of learning from some of the most experienced Gonstead Chiropractors at both Palmer College and the Gonstead Seminar. I was a clinical radiology intern with the Palmer Clinics teaching other students how to take x-rays and I had the fantastic opportunity to help hundreds of people experience the benefits of chiropractic care during a chiropractic mission to Cochabamba, Bolivia. After graduating Cum Laude from Palmer College, I decided to return home to Anchorage, AK to raise my family and start my practice.
At Pairmore Family Chiropractic in Anchorage, we are focused on helping people of all ages reach their optimal level of health through chiropractic care, massage therapy, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes. We believe that health comes from within us and that vertebral subluxations interfere with the expression of an individual's inborn health potential. We strive to educate and guide our patients in proper nutrition, exercise and lifestyle modifications. Staying current on the most recent advances and research in chiropractic is very important to us as well. I have obtained my certification as a Chiropractic Sport Physician and I am updated monthly on the latest research through the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance. One of the most satisfying aspects of my practice is seeing the dramatic way a patient's life can change as they regain their health.
When I am not at the office I love to spend time with my family. I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Sengthiene, and we have been blessed with three awesome kids. Alisa is a soccer superstar and is in the Japanese Immersion Program at Sand Lake Elementary. Hannah, also loves to play soccer and attends Sand Lake with her big sister.
